Loss of control
2008-05-10 10:09 a.m.

Loss of control

A fly, moving frantically from your cheek, to your hand, risking death constantly and unintelligently. no thought involved, the next dose of food MUST be found, and it must be found now.

A basketball, tumbling down the road,
perpendicular to the car, until..

Trying to characterize what is the definition of no-control isn't easy - it seems that at least to some extent one should have some reference to human thought - It seems that only conscious and self conscious thought are capable of any degree of control. ( Considering we ignore examples such as the chair controlling its legs, which seem more like metaphors than real examples of control )

So maybe one possible definition of loss-of-control, could be by stating the lack off that crucial ingredient.

5 words which seem to be almost partly
synonymous with loss of control :

impulsiveness
hysterics
passion
rage
obsession

All of them describe a situation in which "rational" is at its lowest, if not non-existent what so ever.

Mental landscape is shrinking and shrinking. Not being able to think of anything but. the fear, and the immediate need, paralyzed.

Waking up in my bed, my mouth is sticky, but not as sticky as my brain. Goo, pervades each axon, neuron, and ganglia, and more goo.

There you have it udi, that's all i could do. Don't forget to put your leg back on, It's a bit embarrassing to talk to you without it.
